At the January Parish Council meeting, the issue of whether to join other local villages in objecting to the Botley West Solar Farm proposal (www.botleywest.co.uk) was discussed. Freeland is not directly impacted as the development does not border our parish and we have not had any feedback from residents other than one representation at the last meeting (supportive).
As representatives of the village we need to understand the views of the residents of Freeland. We have publicised the consultation events and have encouraged all residents to make their views known to the developers. At this later stage, we now ask you to make your personal views known to District and County Councillors. In addition if you are either opposed or supportive of the Solar Farm please email [email protected]. The Parish Council will then reconsider whether to engage further depending on feedback from residents.
